An excellent experience
I took my wife for our anniversary to this venue and was delighted that the atmosphere was as indicated in the restaurant's webpage. It was smaller than I had imagined but really put forward an atomosphere of a morrocan eatery. The food was excellent as was the service. The waiter and waitress were both knowledgable about the menu and very helpful. The black and white video of Casablanca with subtitles minus sound was a nice touch as was the live guitar duo who fitted into the atmosphere beautifully. I do an amount of my own morrocan cooking at home and am disappointed when I experience food inferior to what I produce at home. This restaurant did not disappoint and in fact has exquisite flavours in the food as well as a wonderful presentation. Thank you for an entertaining and thoroughly enjoyable night. I live in Warragul and it was well worth the hour and a bit drive each way to experience this venue and its food. Oh and by the way, I left my camera under the table and the staff and stored it away securely until I returned to collect it.

Valentines Day
My fiancee booked Mosq for Valentines dinner, as we had previously been to the Mofo lounge and loved it, and it was amazing!
A very unique place to go, everything about it was fantastic. The service was some of the best we have received, the food was beautiful and the atmosphere very cool. It was actually a set menu that night so I look forward to going back to try their regular menu! I would definitely recommond this place,I couldn't fault a thing.

Great dinner experience
We had dinner at this venue on a Monday night. The food was superb, promptly served and at the right temperature. So good, we could easily go back a second time this week. The place was really cool, with a nice Moroccan ambiance but not pretentious. We were made to feel comfortable as soon as we arrived.

We also enquired about holding functions and the waiter was very informative and helpful.

The service was top class. Our waiters were friendly, very knowledgeable and above all, they valued their customers. Too many restaurants have great food but only with mediocre service. The staff are really an asset to this place.

We are looking forward to possibly holding one of our functions in this well rounded venue!

Great place to chill
I had never heard of this restaurant until a friend recommended it. Extremely friendly and attentive. The food was amazing set menu on the day. They were testing the idea. The food was ample and very tasty. It reminded been back at school and going to my Lebanese friends house. The special touch. It was a Sunday and not many people there but the staff made up for it. I would highly recommend the restaurant. A lot of parking nearby too.

Unique place!
I had driven past Mosq a few times and had always wanted to try it. So on the night of our anniversary i thought we'd book a table - although we didn't mention that when booking.

It was a monday night so I knew it would be quiet. When we arrived, I noticed that there were only 2 other people in the entire restaurant. I thought it was going be very uncomfortable and we wouldn't be able to relax. But... I was wrong!

The manager had kept the place open for us as he knew we were coming. We were led to a cute little booth with our own cushions and were encouraged take off our shoes and relax. Which we did!

We decided to order the shared plate for two which included chicken skewers, lamb kebabs, hummus, turkish bread, prawns, falafel balls, moroccan salad and chorizo. Enough food for an army! It was so deliciou

Nice little find
Always keen to try somewhere new, we were certainly pleasantly suprised by Mosq. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the live entertainment played quietly in the background was a bonus and the food very nice and well priced. My only disappointment to the night was not being able to sit inside to enjoy the beautiful decor, oh well next time I'll book to ensure that happens!

A wonderful, warm experience
We stumbled across this gorgeous little restaurant one night after seeing a movie. It was a cold and wet night outside, so the only available outdoor tables weren t looking so appealing, but after chatting with the gentleman on the door, he was quickly able to find us a table inside the best table inside to be in fact which was a private little booth all to ourselves (with cushions to boot)!

This restaurant is most atmospheric and welcoming and seems to be quite popular judging from the large number of happy guests and scarcity of available tables. We received friendly and very attentive service and the restaurant is characteristic, charismatic and most charming.

There was a wide selection of food on the menu (Moroccan cuisine) for various levels of appetite and a great cocktails menu too. We indulged in a mixed drink or two and a Tapas platter for two, and a seafood paella. The food was hot and delicious and the presentation was a cultural novelty.

The staff were very knowledgeable about the menu and helpful without being intrusive and there was never a moment when we didn t have what we needed. I cant really say any more other than the worst part of the evening was having to leave at the end of it. We will definitely be back!

The Big Wet
Walked into Mosq (on the wettest nite in 3 years) on the chance we could get a table without a booking. The staff were happy to find a table ouside and out of the rain.....this would be great spot on a warm nite.
We love the flavours of Moraccon food and were happy to sit anywhere. The food was good but the servings were on the small side (we had 3 courses ....rare!!!)but was too long to bring out.....a little too long. However, the wine (Fraser Gallop) was excellent.....we drank by the time the food came out....I will be trying to hunt this one down.

Wow
Went to dinner to celebrate my birthday last night. From the moment we walked in the atmosphere was amazing, the food was great but what really made the night memorable was the service. Don't think we've ever had service so good. We felt like we were very welcome guests in our waiters home. He was friendly, genuine and with just the right amount of attentiveness (so professional). We were lucky enough to get one of the booths so it was great fun. Thanks for a great night and a HUGE thank you to our fantastic waiter.

Full of Atmosphere
Great place to celebrate my husband's birthday. We were very impressed with the food and the atmosphere made us feel like we were in Morocco (we just came back recently from a holiday in Fez & Marrakech). Highly recommended for anyone wanting something with style, but still very reasonable in price. We were lucky enough for a seat on the couch to become available. Initally were sat on some seats with no back to them - would have been disappointed if we had to spend our whole evening on them as we wouldn't have relaxed the same. Definitely coming back.

Something different
My girlfriend and I had never been to a Moroccan restaurant before, and we were not disappointed with Mosq. The service was great, the atmosphere perfect, we were given the best seats in the house, and on top of that the food was brilliant. The platter for two was perfect and the spiced chocolate mousse delicious. Can't wait to go back and try the paella!

Good food, great location
In search of something different, my friend and I enjoyed a fantastic dinner at Mosq, sampling a number of the entres, mains and deserts on offer. One of the best things about the restaurant is the opportunity to relax on one of the 'beds' whilst not eating, before tucking into the fantastic food available. Service throughout the evening was very good. I would thoroughly recommend this venue as a place to relax, enjoy some great food and drinks and sample something a little different to the plethora of other restaurants lining Chapel street.

The Best Birthday Party EVER
I searched high and low for an amazing arabic inspired venue for my recent birthday. After finding the dirty dirty shesha bars that are oozing with shifty sorts, I was heartbroken and was considering ending my quest for a magnificent birthday location. A week before the selected date I discovered MOSQ! & all I can say is WOW! Classic and elegant atmosphere, divine food, shesha's and a Belly Dancer tooo! I hit the jackpot!

Honestly I was surprised with the ability to secure my booking for 19+ people only 6 days before the date. On the night I received exceptional service, the matre de was committed to my table which went from 19 to over 27 people within an hour. Our food arrived just as the Belly dancer begun shaking her hips.. and the night was an absolute pleasure.
I'm wishing to my jeanie for A thousand and one nights at Mosq.

The place to remember
I'm so happy. I've never been to a Moroccan restaurant before and we took a middle eastern friend of ours and his partner there for dinner. Absolutely fantastic! The food and dips we had were delicious and even our friend said that the food was amazing and that he had never been to a restaurant with the food being so good. Loved it and staff were very friendly as well.

Family & Friends
Booked for 15 people,
the food was a long time in coming approx. 60 to 90 minutes, came out in drips and drabs. The signature dish "Moroccan Paella" tasted like water logged rice with no flavour.

I went with some of my mates just to chill and have a look at the place. Such a unique atmosphere and the service is excellent. The staffs are excellent and friendly. I would strongly recommend this place to anybody that wanna have private functions either for birthday, office functions, etc. You will leave this place with a satisfaction grin on your face.

Dinner and functions
I'd heard about Mosq through a colleague who had a private party there a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. I wanted to visit it to see what it would be like for our work function and we ended up staying for a long night of cocktails and tapas. The food was great, a little different to what I'd usually eat but we really enjoyed it. I had the chocolate mousse later in the evening... to die for.
The cocktails were great and I have to compliment the barmen on his selection for me.
It would have been nice to have had a spot on the daybeds so next time we'll have to get there a little earlier. If you're keen on your wines, the list is a little brief so I'd recommend you stick to the cocktails because they're fantastic!
Great night, definitely recommend dinner there and we've booked in our party as well.
