Lovely and simple
We went to dinner at Lago di Como last week and it was a great dining experience. The tasting plate was absolutely divine. The prawn bruschetta was good but the toast was difficult to cut. Both pastas were superb. The wait staff were attentive with out being intrusive. Thoroughly enjoyable and will definitely be back.

frozen dessert not up to standard
The dinner itself was fine but I had ordered apple pie for dessert. It arrived frozen still and I asked the waiter if it was supposed to be this way - I thought maybe it's some fancy Italian way of serving pie. It was taken away and returned to me half cold and half warm - obviously it had been microwaved. I mentioned this again to the waiter and asked if I could perhaps have the chocolate tart instead because they apparently couldn't get my dessert right. He said to me "You've eaten it already, I cant change it now". I had had two fork-fulls. A request to speak to the chef got me a choclate tart to the correct standard.

Disappointing service and food
Eating out on a cold Monday night, we had a difficult time getting our waitperson's attention. This was despite the restaurant being relatively empty.
There was a mix-up with our entree order. However, the salsiccia and pizza bread is very nice.
One of our party's pasta meal arrived cold. Another asked to exchange spaghetti for fettucine and was only told that this wasn't possible as our meals were being served.
The dessert is lovely, and the atmosphere is very cozy and friendly.
Note: Woodfired pizzas are only available on Wednesdays and Fridays. It would have been nice to know this earlier.
