Walking into La Cantina is akin to entering one of Italy's greatest wine cellars. It offers arched ceilings, rustic brick walls and alluring lighting. On the perimeter of the space, white tablecloths cover wooden tables which are cloistered by sturdy mahogany chairs, adding a touch of classic Italian elan. The menu is a typical modern Italian affair, giving patrons a range of tempting options from pizza and pasta to divine meat dishes, such as a fillet of beef with crisp prosciutto, spinach and a shiraz jus.

Great atmosphere, good food
We have been here a few times now. The best thing about this restaurant is the atmosphere - it is really warm and cosy and really has the feel of being somewhere in Italy. The food is good, and although it is not amazing - we have no complaints. Service is what you would expect of a fine dining restaurant. I love that you can BYO your favourite bottle of wine. We will definitely return.

Boring and expensive food
Just had dinner there and was quite disappointed with my bland main meal and the small portions. The venue is attractive but it was a busy night and we struggled to talk over the general noise. The meals are surprisingly expensive as well - not good value and won't be back!

Dinner Review
What a beautiful restaurant. Went on a Friday night, the restaurant was packed, despite this the service was really prompt and good. I found it a little strange they had no orange juice to drink, especially considering there is a supermarket next door. I found the food only to be average, there really wasn't any imagination in any of the dishes we had (group of 4) and the meals were extremely slow coming out of the kitchen.
