With Chef Jason Peppler behind the hobs, Confit Bistro has come to life, offering patrons an enticing menu of Gallic and Mediterranean dishes. Brisbane locals can expect expertly executed meals, such as a classic lyonnaise salad with lettuce, lardons, garlic croutons and a poached egg.
Mains are an exciting foray into classic, but quietly modern, bistro fare. The seared calf's liver with red wine onions, plump raisins, champ and grape mustard combines authentic Mediterranean and Celtic influences in a more contemporary manner.
Desserts aren't quite as inventive as the mains. A delightful take on the classic French crepe suzette is sure to please, with the addition of that effortlessly Italian aperitif Campari; not served as a beverage, however, but as ice cream.
Gourmet Traveller 2010 Australian Restaurant Guide - "Chef Jason Peppler wowed Brisbanites at Isis with his originality and extravagance. Now, it’s back to bistro basics for his first solo venture. "

Highly Recommended
This was my third visit to Confit and as usual it was fantastic! Myself, my partner and friends all enjoyed our entree and mains, which were interesting, well flavoured and perfectly proportioned. How they can provide such great food at such low prices is amazing! Unfortunately we didn't have enough room for dessert, although they did look good. The service was friendly and professional. Highly recommended.

A Must
If you are sitting at home on Sunday evening wondering what to cook. Why don't you and 5 friends get yourselves along to Confit for dinner. Don't worry if you are unsure what you would like becuase you do not get a choice! That's right at first I too was a bit skeptical. But after my first visit I have been back a number of times and have no qualms with spreading the word of Confit to my circle of friends. Confit on a Sunday has the chef choosing the menu for you and your friends, come along sit down, relax, pick a bottle or glass from quite a good wine list and be bedazzled by what the chef cooks for you. You will be spoilt with 3 dishes of each entree, main and desert. A must, you will not be disappointed. Well done Confit, I'll be back.
