Beaches

Life's a beach if you live in Manly, but if you're just visiting, Beaches is an easy bet for a drink at the wine bar, or one of their gourmet pizzas. Surrounded from head to toe by wine racks, diners have plenty of choice drops to choose from. The same goes for the stellar pizza menu, which includes meat, seafood, vegetarian and garlic pizzas available in small, regular and large sizes. Seafood addicts might enjoy diving into the Mediterranean - a concoction of prawns, mussels, baby clams, anchovies and garlic on a pizza base - while vegetarians have some exciting options, like the spicy vegetarian pizza with eggplant, spinach, mushrooms, ricotta, broccoli, roasted red capsicum and chilli flakes. Gluten-free bases are also available for extra.

great food and wine ... um hello, service?
The wines lining the walls look fantastic and drew me to this restaurant ... i had however been warned off this restaurant by a friend saying their service was bad. He was right!

We were seated outside at first and asked for an extra table to accommodate six of us ... their were spare tables inside and they dont take bookings so there shouldnt be a problem. Nope, they didnt like that. So they moved us inside up the back where it was almost unbearably hot. Get a fan guys. We asked to get moved again later because it was just too hot, once again, they didnt want to help out despite there being empty tables.

I might go again just for the wine, but they certainly wont get any tips (again).
