Restaurant Information
Yak & Yeti
The name might conjure up something from Where the Wild Things Are but this Nepalese haunt on Glebe Point Road is perfectly civil. Dainty crystal vases with poinsettias frame the front windows and the tables in the cosy room are set with crimson cloths. Nepalese food tastes like a cousin to Pakistani and Northern Indian dishes, with curries deploying meats such as goat and fowl. Noodle dishes such as chow chow, with seasonal vegetables, chicken and egg, can be warming if the framed mountain vistas on the walls bring on sympathy chills. If you're yearning for a taste of far, far away, the Sherpa momo dumplings stuffed with chicken, vegetables and fresh herbs will help carry you on your way.
